Stars in the Spotlight

Grace has been taking classes at Waikanae Dance School since 2008 when she was just 4.

In December Grace entered the Raumati Beach School annual Talent Quest.  She danced her lyrical routine, "A whole new world" for her class and was selected for the junior school heats.  She then made it through to the semi-finals for the junior school - one of five acts. 

She hasn't made it through to this year's finals, but is looking forward to what she might perform next year!

She also performed her routine at the school's Christmas market in front of a huge crowd.  She said she was a bit nervous, and it was hard dancing on the concrete, but she was very proud of herself.  Everyone commented on her beautiful dress and the great expression she conveyed in the dance.

Grace says, " I really liked it that I got through to the semi-finals.  I especially love dancing to that song because it goes low and high and low again."

Well done Grace, we think you dance this routine beautifully too.
